updated 4.3.20
These are strange and uncertain times. As such, there are some unprecedented changes to AP exams for this year. The College Board polled thousands of AP students and the overwhelming majority of students wanted to take some form of an exam this year. As a result, they have developed an online model for students to take at home. Please read through these important points about the 2020 AP Exam Administration and our plan to help the students of EHT.
Exams will be May 11-22
Detailed Schedule HERE
No exams overlap or conflict
Exam times will be 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, & 4:00 pm
Students with an exam order set to “yes” in the system will receive a link to retrieve the online test
FYI, all EHT AP students are currently in the system as “yes”
Exams will be Free Response ONLY
No Multiple Choice
English & History exams will have one, 45 minute question
Other exams will have two questions
one , 25 minute
one, 15 minute
Since the exams are free response, students will have two options for uploading and submitting their work
(1) Handwriting responses, taking pictures, and uploading
(2)Typing responses and uploading
You can choose the method you use for each exam
Ex: Typing for English and handwriting for Calculus
An exam simulator will be available so students can practice prior to their exams
FOR MORE INFO, PLEASE CHECK OUT THE AP WEBSITE
Here are some points specific to AP at EHTHS:
We are encouraging all of you to take the exams you have been preparing for all year
Yes, the circumstances are unconventional, but you have been working so hard. The exam is only 45 minutes and you can use notes and textbooks to prepare your responses
If you believe you are not prepared and would like to cancel your exam, you may do so without losing AP weighting for the course
ALL AP students must complete the Exam Update form by April 10th, 2020 11:59pm. The form is in the AP Google Classroom
Refunds will be issued for those who choose to cancel exams, but we must be notified through the form
If you have technology concerns, please reach out to us. We can help!
